We had a few days left before TT Dad would be done with his conference, and we would be on our way home.
The morning at Kids in Motion had gone so well, I was excited to keep up the momentum! Our first stop was the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum.
The cousins spoke very highly of this Children’s Museum, and I can see why! We spent a few hours playing happily before it was time for lunch and nap.
I managed to squeeze one more trip in, and we saved the best for last. We were hoping TT Dad could join us, but our trip to the Milwaukee Zoo was another trip for the duo and I.
We are so grateful to our cousins and aunt and uncle for allowing us to stay with them for the duration of our visit! We are certainly a whirlwind when we visit, and this was our first extended stay at a family member’s house (not a rental house). While this may sound like it would be easier than a rental hours, keep in mind the family member’s house is filled with their nice things.
We can’t have nice things. We have toddlers! We were in a perpetual state of fear that they would cause permanent damage to either Aunt C and Uncle C’s things, or maybe even the house!
Luckily, we made it through without any major issues. We found a couple of stowaway toys in our bags when we got home, but I blame that more on TT Dad and I not being on the same page with our exit plan.
Well, that sounds like a good story, doesn’t it? I’ll be back on Monday with a list of all our newly learned DON’Ts when it comes to car travel!
