Business first: Please forgive Friday’s missing post! TT Mom was in Vegas with her village, and our hotel had basically no internet (I mean, what happens in Vegas…) No worries. After a red-eye last night, TT Mom is back on track!
Where were we.
Spring of 2017 was coming to an end, but we had a few more adventures up our sleeves!
First up was Mother’s Day. TT Dad and the Duo were busy preparing, and I had no idea. The guys all planned and prepped, and treated the moms to a lovely brunch at our house. In addition to the treat of sleeping in, I was completely spoiled by my family, and the goodies they lovingly made and picked out for me. Tote bags, a new cutting board, cards, flowers, a balloon… the list goes on. Many handmade, but all of them from the heart.
The most surprising of all was the gift of ‘me’ time. TT Dad and the kids discussed it, and decided that they believed I deserved a weekend with my village (sound familiar?) Yes, they were sending me to Vegas with my #MomSquad.
What a surprise. A sweet and heartfelt gift, indeed.
Our brunch was a delight, and we made numerous attempts to document this day with photos, but the kids were a little too excited to go play with each other!
We had a couple of weeks before we were headed back to visit with Oma and Opa, again, so I tried to make the most of them. A few trips to our favorite non-grocery store, and lots of outdoor play- sometimes even with a picnic lunch!
How could I forget G’s favorite day? The day we had a pest control guy come and treat the house!
There was one new (to us) play area we decided to check out- Whippersnappers. This play gym has organized classes, as well as free play. We decided to check it out during free play to start. On this particular day, we were the only family playing. While this meant we had the run of the place, it also meant the kids didn’t have a chance to play with, or observe, any other kids.
As you can see, this didn’t stop them from having a blast. I found it to be a little less exciting than I had anticipated, but they really didn’t seem to agree.
Finally, we realized it was time to get our season passes registered for our neighborhood amusement park! Kids three and under are free, so TT Dad, Nonie & Pops and I all have season passes (Thanks, Nonie & Pops!!) We made our first visit for the summer (spring?) and used Nonie & Pop’s season dining pass for the first time.. Interesting concept to be sure. Completely worth it, if you’re planning to visit often, and want to eat!
Next up- a trip to visit Oma and Opa- with a bonus trip for me! Could it be another girls weekend?
