The rest of February and beginning of March was mostly spent enjoying the unseasonably warm weather. We ended up at the Children’s Museum a couple of times, and spent some time with our CT cousins.
We rode our bikes, we played on their ‘playground’ (as they call it), we drew with our sidewalk chalk, and climbed the big rocks in the front yard.
Some time was spent practicing being cute, too, as if they needed it.
Mostly, we were focused on planning our upcoming trips… in 2018. This is so not our style, as much as we wish it were, but we were presented with a few options for vacations in early 2018, and all of which required early planning.
Really it reminded us that soon, our kids would be in school, and we’d be much more limited in our vacation scheduling.
Like it or not, we’d be planning ahead, or we wouldn’t be going anywhere! We would have to compete with all the other school age kids for vacation plans, unless we were willing to take our kids out of school for vacation, which is a post on it’s own.
Once again, everything changes.
In the meantime, we had a trip to North Carolina coming up quickly, followed by a family wedding!
After a month and a half or so of recovery, we were ready to get back in the game!
