Our travel schedule seems to go in phases. We do try to get away at least one weekend a month, but that doesn’t always equal out to once every 4 weeks. Sometimes it seems that we’re out of town quite often, and other times 5 or 6 weeks go by in between trips.
During those long stretches without overnight travel, our goal is to go on at least one adventure as a family. It takes a real effort… life can get in the way, if we let it.
After our day trip to NYC, we hit a little lull. The next big planned travel opportunity was not until the beginning of May- we were heading to Baltimore.
This meant we had a good 6 weeks to fill with our favorite daycation outings, annual events, and family functions. As you can imagine, they passed in the blink of an eye.
We read books, played on our riding toys, went to the library, celebrated Easter with family, attended the Annual Pizza Competition in a nearby town, blew bubbles, got our first haircut, helped daddy make dinner, and took swimming lessons!
Believe it or not, we also fit in a trip to Stepping Stones Museum for Children, in Norwalk, CT, and a Day out with Thomas, too!
Our next post will cover all of the day trip and annual event outings.
