Once we were all checked in, we ducked into the Pub at the Mountain Grille. It was the perfect atmosphere for a couple of kids who were completely thrown off of their schedule. The food was quick and delicious. The portion sizes were generous enough that we had enough to feed the duo the following night, as well!
Next, we found our 1 bedroom condo, in Liftside. While booking this trip, we spoke to a reservation agent, who assured us that each community was quite close to the lodge. We requested to be close to Treasures, the child care facility. It was hard to know where exactly we were, since it was dark out, but we looked forward to exploring more in the day light.
Priority number one was to set up the pack and plays. The bedroom was quite spacious. There were two beds (one king, and one double), a large dresser, and still plenty of room for the two pack and plays.
After spending so much time in the car, we wanted to let the duo run off some steam, so we called the shuttle, to request a ride to ‘The Fun Zone.’ The shuttle arrived at our doorstep, completely empty, within minutes. We arrived at The Fun Zone, and began to see just how right that reservation agent was. It was a very quick ride.
The Fun Zone was just that- F.U.N. The room was filled with activities from ping pong tables, to an inflatable obstacle course. Towards the side was a smaller section of the room, dedicated to younger kids. This area had legos, a play kitchen, and dolls, ride-on toys, strollers, and smaller inflatable bouce houses, to name a few.
This was the perfect stop before bed. The duo loved running around, checking out the toys, and play equipment. After a sufficient amount of energy had been burned off, we called the shuttle again, and headed back to the condo. The duo fell asleep fairly quickly, and we weren’t too far behind them- but first, TT Dad ran out to the little market on site, and we shared a few glasses of wine to celebrate the beginning of our weekend!
We had a big weekend ahead!
